History.

Franz Xaver Kroisi with his son

Hotel Stadt Rosenheim was build around 1890,
at times when Bavaria still was a kingdom.
Franz Xaver Kroisi, the Great-Grandfather of today's owners,
bought the building in 1895 and ever since
it was called "Hotel zur Stadt Rosenheim" (Town Of Rosenheim Inn).
In those days most trains arriving at Munich East Station
would have come from Rosenheim as next major town. Also due to
the proximity to Rosenheimer Strasse (Rosenheim Street)
the hotel got it's name.

After the second world war the US Army
seized the building and used it as offices
from 1945 to 1955 until the family put it back into operation.
From the late 70th the hotel was leased out to a leaseholder
for over 30 years until in February 2010
the family took over the hotel and startet a comprehensive renovation
to renew Hotel Stadt Rosenheim.
